I'm am officially working at Tease-n-Tan Espresso now. The last two weeks have been very emotionally draining and stressful. While shadowing there, I had another job opportunity come up with a apartment complex in Richland. They interviewed 4 people, selected the top 3...which I was one of, then narrowed it down to 2 people to job shadow as well because they could not decide between the two. I had the privilege of being one of the two selected.
As I had a few days to think it over, the two different work environments, I learned a lot about myself. I LOVE my job at Tease-n-Tan....I'm constantly on the go...never sitting, always staying busy, meeting and greeting all the (mostly) friendly faces...and most of all losing weight....I couldn't beat that! So as I went into my first day of job shadowing at the apartment complex, I felt a huge cloud come over me....this wasn't for me....I can't sit in a chair for hours upon hours doing nothing....I have to stay active! That was only part of my decision...after talking to one of the two gals interviewing me, I found out that the other candidate they had chosen was in a dire need of a job just like I have been for the past months. Knowing what it is like to be out of a job, I told the ladies I would feel better to step down and let the other person take the position so she could be employed. I don't know if it was the stupidest or smartest decision I have ever made, but it's what I chose to do.
Concluding...today if my first official day on the job! My schedule is Monday-Wednesday 1-8pm and Fridays 5:30-1pm. Subject to change of course, but I tried to find some reasonable hours so I could still have a life with my husband on the weekends.
Thank you to all the people that have helped with the encouragement and support. And Thank you Tera for your inspiring saying that you always tell me, "DO what you LOVE, & LOVE what you DO!!" You all are the best!!!
If any of you are ever around 20th Ave in Pasco, stop in and see me!! I'll make you a yummy coffee, or clean your tanning bed =)

Glad to see you finally found a job and most of all that you are enjoying it. Who cares if it is not what you expected. There are tons of people out there that have degrees in one thing and totally do something else...because thats what makes them happy.
